The UAE Government attaches great importance to the role of youth and their empowerment in order to enable them to shoulder responsibilities, innovate and contribute to the welfare of the UAE's community.

Achievement of Vision 2021 requires the skills, energy, enthusiasm and commitment of the country's young people. To emphasise this, the UAE made several steps to ensure that the voice of the youth is heard and their views are shared.

Her Excellency Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi is the Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development whose primary mission is to promote the acquisition of knowledge and the overall cultural environment. Prior to this, Her Excellency was appointed as the UAE Minister of State for Federal National Council Affairs to act as the key link between the Cabinet and the Federal National Council.

Saeed Al Nazari is the Director General of Federal Youth Authority, Executive Director of The Youth Office at the UAE Prime Minister’s Office, Chief Strategy Officer at the Arab Youth Center, Member at the First Federal Emirates Youth Council and the first Global Innovation Ambassador for the Global Innovation Management Institute. Al Nazari led and Managed 50+ National Strategic Projects during his 10 years of experience in the Public and Private Sector.

"Youth Councils" in the UAE were formed under the direction of leadership who believe that Youth are the key to the country’s future success. The UAE has been recognized globally for being on the cutting edge of government innovation and leading the way on global challenges.

Youth Circles

Youth Circles initiative governed by Emirates Youth Council and Launched by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai. to inspire youth-centric dialogue across a variety of areas for sustainable engagement with Youth to shape innovative solutions for global challenges.

An initiative of the Emirates Council of Youth with the support of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

100 mentors

100 Mentors program launched by Emirates Youth Council aims to build national heroes across all fields in the UAE by establishing direct channels with mentors. 100 leaders were nominated from the UAE’s public and private sectors to mentor youth.

Youth Data

The Youth Data Hub initiative launched by Emirates Youth Council, is fueled by collaboration with the Public and Private Sectors through data sharing across a variety of fields and industries to better understand the pulse of youth with the ultimate goal of improving outcomes and overcoming challenges facing youth in the UAE.

Arab Youth Forum

The Arab Youth Forum is considered the first event for Arab youth, held over the course of three days, and aims to bring together the young bright Arab minds to discuss their dreams and shape a better future for their countries and the Arab world together.

Arab Youth Center

The center works on initiatives lead by Arab Youth, with the aim of expanding youth opportunities in contributing to National Sustainability Development. This is because the youth are the largest level of society in the Arab communities.

Done By Youth

Done by Youth initiative launched by Emirates Youth Council to crowdsource youth’s skills and  talents in diverse nation-wide projects and activities. Done by Youth is a mark of our passion, generosity and eagerness to serve the country.

Youth Policy

The Emirates Youth Council focuses on developing youth policies that are aligned with the future direction and vision of the United Arab Emirates.

Flow

Flow is a  brand-new initiative conceptualised by Emirates Youth Council in collaboration with Jumeirah Group as part of the “Done by Youth” initiative. It is a hub for youth to connect, create, and converse in a youthful atmosphere, enjoying healthy paleo-friendly food and specialty coffee.

Emirates Youth Values National Program

Under the Patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak “Mother of the Nation”, the aim of the National Emirates Values Program is to nurture a values-driven culture, in which UAE’s youth are grounded in Emirati traditions and serve as ambassadors of ethical excellence both at home and abroad.

UN Youth Delegates Program

The UAE UN Youth Delegate Programme promotes youth participation in the offcial UN platforms. UAE is the first GCC country to establish a Youth Delegate Program. The YDP is a strategic investment aimed at building capacities of young nationals, raising awareness on international issues and the work of the United Nations, as well as promoting the UAE’s visibility at the UN.

Mohammed Bin Rashid Global Centre for Awqaf and Endowment

Mohammed Bin Rashid Global Centre for Awqaf and Endowment is a dedicated Waqf by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, and Ruler of Dubai. The Centre is a consulting Awqaf foundation tasked with encouraging and enabling Awqaf and Endowment establishment to fulfill the social needs of people and serve humanity. The Centre offers its services to individuals, local, regional and international foundations free of charge in order to achieve Dubai’s global vision for Awqaf and endowments.

Youth Retreat

The Youth Retreat gathered 100 of the Nation’s Youth over a two-day event to discuss issues of prime importance to Youth.. Through conversations on entrepreneurship, culture, civic engagement, creativity, and many more areas, the Youth Retreat set the agenda for the Ministry of Youth focus for the year through the National Youth Agenda. The Agenda has been built to respond directly to the perspectives, concerns, and outcomes proposed during the Youth Retreat. The Youth Retreat featured group discussions spanning Entrepreneurship, Productivity, Health and Safety, Responsibility, Education, Communication, Values, and Creativity. A Strategy focus was also employed to develop initiatives and implementation plans for ideas suggested in discussions.

National Youth Dialogue

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, led a national social media campaign (#NationalYouthDialogue) to listen to the hopes and aspirations of the UAE’s youth and accordingly set a comprehensive agenda for the Youth Retreat. The Dialogue was the first engagement mechanism focused on youth for stakeholders across the nation, and was successful in empowering youth to shape national conversations and in defining a focus for the Youth Retreat.
The underlying message of the National Youth Dialogue was that young people are key to effective and positive outcomes for development. The Dialogue resulted in thousands of ideas from people of different ages and backgrounds. It highlighted how the engagement of youth is an art – some see it at young people acquiring responsibilities and others see it as reaching out to youth for their input and participation in planning and decisions. The Dialogue presented different principles for success from young people as well as from other members of society. The open invitation to all to discuss and o er their thoughts and ideas emphasized the bold vision of believing in youth and in the power of the pure potential of youth in building a foundation for the future within their own lives and their cherished nation.

Youth Agenda

The Vision of National Youth Agenda of the United Arab Emirates is for All Emirati youth to be Productive youth with an entrepreneurial spirit who realize their full potential and embody Emirati values. A changing and flexible agenda that matches the fast paced and changing demands of the future. The priorities of the Agenda are set at the Annual Youth Forum.

UAE Government Leaders Programme (UAEGLP)

The UAE Government Leaders Programme has been launched under the aegis of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, in collaboration with Minister of State for Youth Office, with a view to building and developing distinguished leaders of the future in collaboration with world-class institutions around the globe. The objective of this Programme is also to sustain premium leadership at all levels. Powered by formidable leadership, we will contribute effectively to the growth of the UAE and translate our long-term vision into a remarkable feat we can all be proud of.

Special Olympics

Special Olympics UAE is a nonprofit NGO that is responsible on the sports affairs of Emirati Athletes with Intellectual Disabilities. The organization works to empower people with determination that are intellectually disabled through training them and supporting their participation in local and international tournaments.

Youth Debates

Youth Debates is a platform that aims to help Youth build skills in public speaking, critical thinking and research through discussing various socioeconomic and scientific topics.

Emirates Youth Summer Academy

This is first of a kind summer academy that includes a range of educational, awareness, innovative & entertaining courses & workshops to develop the skills of our Arab youth in collaboration with groundbreaking & international organizations

Emirates Youth Global Initiative

The Emirates Youth Global Initiative aims to showcase the global reality and perception of Emirati Youth to its truest identity: Will Powered Youth and Determined-Youth. The UAE make an extensive investment in Youth as its greatest change agents and strongest citizen diplomats. Through this initiative, we are promoting our youth policies of inclusion worldwide and also utilizing youth to send the true, authentic messages of the United Arab Emirates.

Emirates Youth Professional School

EYPS is one of the initiatives of the Federal Youth Authority. It provides full-length Professional courses and Executive Education programs in various sectors through crowdsourcing instructors, teachers, experts and professionals in the UAE in an uber-like model. EYPS will provide an avenue to help upskill Youth in the UAE to increase their chances of career development and career progression and prepare them for the labor market by providing continuous education and access to marketable skills.

Emirati Values Iftar

One of the initiatives of the Federal Youth Authority within the Emirates Youth Values Program under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima لآint Mubarak "Mother of Nation”. The initiative aims to introduce Emirati values and sustain dialogue on Emirati values with UAE residents by hosting them in Emirati homes and having Iftar with Emirati families under the supervision and follow-up of the UAE youth.

Youth Launchpad

The Youth Launchpad is one of the Federal Youth Authority initiatives. It offers youth the opportunity to start their businesses in different assigned spaces around the country, which enables them to put their entrepreneurship skills into action during an assigned period of time.

Youth 101

Not only does our government have the responsibility to ENGAGE Youth, we have the responsibility to EDUCATE and EQUIP Youth with knowledge and understanding of the most pressing and important issues of our time as well as the channels of access to our government and how it works.

Youth 101 is a knowledge production project that aims to provide UAE Youth a well-rounded, liberal arts education in UAE domestic, foreign policy and world affairs.

By exercising Youth brains with the knowledge that exposes and engages them in the most basic and burgeoning topics of today and tomorrow, the UAE is equipping its Youth to be the leaders of tomorrow, today.
